Welcome
Visions for Nigeria’s volunteer program is aimed at reversing rural-urban migration. We compliment government efforts by providing services that are not available from the government and are beyond the means of individual citizens and communities.
We focus on meeting specific strategic needs of rural communities and make them more comfortable for dwellers of the rural community.
We identify community needs and then initiate community oriented programs aimed at alleviating such problems. Most common needs of many rural communities in Nigeria include :- lack of access to infrastructure and social services like potable water, healthcare, education, good roads and electricity. They usually are victims of extreme poverty and unemployment.
There is no limit to the activities and involvement of Visions for Nigeria, your Volunteer NGO.
We run a network of volunteers and have program co-coordinators who are carefully chosen from the local community where we are carrying out
programs.
We hope you will cherish this piece of information about volunteerism in Visions for Nigeria and would most assuredly want to partner with us in future so we can jointly contribute our quota to making Nigeria a better Nation (a kinder, gentler nation).
Indeed, Nigeria shall be great again!
We want to live up to that dream
Nigeria shall be great again was at the heart of our concept when the ‘Visions for Nigeria Foundation’ was birthed in August 2001 in far way Istanbul, Turkey. We strongly believe in a greater Nigeria and that Nigerians have one thing in common - not politics, not religion, not tribe, not state, not language – but NIGERIA. Here at Visions for Nigeria Foundation (VFN), we believe in keeping Nigeria together, and that Nigerians are able to do so.
